Hi All,
In light of the above changes and the items they intend to improve, we kindly welcome any signal reports or even opinions via email to: donegalradioclub@gmail.com

EI2TKR has been running well with good signal and operational reports since we fixed the RX fault back in September.
From user feedback and my own experience using the repeater, I have altered a few settings which should improve the experience of working it.
They & the reason for them are as follows:
- Changed CW ident intermission from 10 minutes to 60 minutes.
- Changed CW ident speed from 20wpm to 25wpm.
- The above were changed as the frequency and length of the ident was reported as non-desirable when regularly monitoring the repeater and/or having it as part of a monitored scan list.
- Changed from SINAD to RSSI level Gating.
- Changed TX Timer hangtime from 1600ms to 2000ms.
- Changed Tail Pip Tone from every 0.5 seconds to every 1 second.
- The above were changed in an attempt to eliminate the clipping and pipping on weak or distant stations when they are opening the repeater.
- It should now be noted that only 1 Pip will be heard at the end of each over, even though the repeater is actually taking an extra 400ms to key down.
- NOTE: The real-world success of this change is yet to be confirmed over time as distant/weak stations work through the repeater.
Thanks as always for your support, and any updates shall be posted on this blog and shared on relevant Facebook Groups including "Donegal Amateur Radio Club".
De Dave, EI5IMB - (EI2TKR Keeper).
